MILWAUKEE — As construction professionals from around the world gather for CONEXPO-CON/AGG in Las Vegas March 3–7, the industry is also invited to celebrate Women in Construction Week March 1–7, recognizing the leadership, innovation, and impact of women across construction.

Founded by the National Association of Women in Construction, Women in Construction Week recognizes the growing contributions of women across the construction industry — from equipment operators and project managers to engineers, executives, and entrepreneurs.

At CONEXPO-CON/AGG, that recognition will extend beyond celebration — connecting professionals, strengthening the workforce, and creating opportunity across the industry.

Women in Construction Week at EmpowerHER Workshop

As the industry marks Women in Construction Week, CONEXPO-CON/AGG provides a global platform to recognize the contributions of women while advancing conversations around workforce growth, leadership, and long-term career pathways. The week serves as a reminder of the importance of visibility, mentorship, and professional development in attracting and supporting the next generation of construction professionals.

At CONEXPO-CON/AGG, that momentum continues through the EmpowerHER Workshop, a dedicated program designed to connect women across the construction ecosystem through mentorship, peer-led discussion, and leadership development. The workshop creates space for meaningful connection while reinforcing the show’s broader commitment to strengthening the workforce and expanding opportunity across the industry.

Women-owned construction businesses, decision-makers, future leaders, and allies will share real-world experiences, expand professional networks and explore strategies for business growth and building stronger workplaces.

“Women in Construction Week highlights the strength, resilience, and leadership women bring to our industry every day,” said Dana Wuesthoff, Show Director for CONEXPO-CON/AGG. “As the industry gathers in Las Vegas, CONEXPO-CON/AGG offers a powerful opportunity with the EmpowerHer Workshop — turning recognition into action and creating space for connection, mentorship, and meaningful career conversations.”

The EmpowerHER Workshop reflects the broader mission of CONEXPO-CON/AGG: bringing the industry together to strengthen leadership pipelines and ensure opportunity remains accessible across every corner of construction.

Workforce Development Through Connection

With more than 2,000 exhibitors and over 150 education sessions across 11 tracks, CONEXPO-CON/AGG serves as a central hub for workforce development and industry collaboration. Programming throughout the show supports skill-building, safety leadership, business growth, and emerging technologies — all designed to strengthen the construction workforce at every level.

As the industry observes Women in Construction Week, the show’s signature workshops reinforce that commitment by creating spaces for leadership development:

  • EmpowerHER Workshop connects women across the construction industry through peer-led discussions, mentorship, and leadership development.

  • Small Business Workshop delivers practical strategies for entrepreneurs and growing construction firms focused on long-term success.

  • Shop Talks & Walks Workshop offers hands-on learning in preventive maintenance and equipment efficiency to improve jobsite performance.

“Workforce development is about more than training. It’s about building a community where people see a future for themselves,” Wuesthoff said. “These workshops at CONEXPO-CON/AGG remind us that opportunity grows when we invest in people and create spaces where everyone can thrive.”

Where Ideas, Innovation, and Community Converge

The Ground Breakers Stage is open to all attendees and introduces a high-energy forum spotlighting the leaders, companies, and technologies redefining what’s next for construction. Attendees will explore artificial intelligence, connected equipment systems, and sustainability strategies through bold, forward-looking conversations.

The Community Zone extends that momentum beyond the stage. Open to all attendees, the space offers informal presentations, live podcast recordings, and opportunities to connect with peers in a relaxed, collaborative environment.

Together, these experiences reflect what sets CONEXPO-CON/AGG apart: an all-in-one destination where education, innovation, and connection come together to move the industry forward.
