The latest state-of-the-art innovations in heavy equipment will be on display this March at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2026 in Las Vegas and we have a sneak peek. Three equipment manufacturers share a taste of their latest offerings that they will have at the show and their thoughts on how contractors can benefit from attending.

WHAT OEMS WILL BE SHOWCASING

Volvo Construction Equipment (Festival Grounds — F24029) will be displaying its new excavator, articulated hauler and wheel loader series, as well as electric equipment and technologies, says Scott Young, head of North America Region.

Volvo electric machines are designed to tackle the same tasks as their internal combustion counterparts, and they have nearly identical specs,” Young says.

These machines have gained the most traction in regions and applications where reduced noise and emissions are particularly advantageous, such as waste and recycling, indoor demolition, landscaping and agriculture, he explains.

Takeuchi-US (West Hall — W43721) will be showcasing its newest machine, the TL11-R3 compact track loader, the sixth model in Takeuchi’s CTL product line, says Stephen Odum, national marketing manager. The radial-lift machine features new electric-over-hydraulic controls for greater precision in loader arm, bucket and travel speed operation.

The addition of low-effort electric-over-hydraulic controls can help even the most skilled operators work with more precision and control, elevating their craft while reducing fatigue, Odum shares.

Electric equipment is best suited for jobs located in urban or suburban areas where electrical power is readily available for recharging purposes, he states. It’s also ideal for those areas because of its lower noise levels and emissions. Those areas are more densely populated, so using an electric machine has less of an effect on the people living and working in nearby homes and businesses.

Komatsu (West Hall — W41945) will be displaying some of its newest digital solutions and the latest version of its My Komatsu customer portal, says Mike Gidaspow, chief digital officer. The manufacturer is especially excited to highlight its latest advancements in intelligent machine control.

We have been hearing our customers tell us that they want more integration, more intuitive solutions and a better experience; and we are delivering,” he explains.

Komatsu’s intelligent machine control is an innovative technology that brings automation and precision to the construction site by integrating 3D design data directly into machines, he says. By automating grading and excavation processes, intelligent machine control helps reduce rework, accelerate project timelines and maximize the productivity of crew and equipment.

It’s a smarter, faster way to build, ensuring every pass counts and every project stays on track.”

WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU

Contractors can see and experience firsthand the durability of the latest heavy machinery at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2026.

“If you truly want to be a part of the construction and agricultural equipment industry, you need to come to CONEXPO-CON/AGG, Odum implores.

Even if you’re not in the market for equipment right now, this event is where you’ll see equipment trends and up-and-coming industry suppliers, he adds. You really don’t want to miss out.”

CONEXPO-CON/AGG has many other benefits, Gidaspow says. There are so many attendees who are all going to the same place, so you get to meet old friends and new people at the same event. It’s a place to learn about where the industry is going and what the future holds. You get to talk to such a wide range of people.”

From intelligent equipment to Smart Construction solutions, Komatsu’s newest

innovations are designed to help you boost productivity, reduce costs and meet your sustainability goals, Moore says. Visit Komatsu’s booth for exclusive live demos, hands-on previews and insights from Komatsu experts.

Don’t miss this opportunity to explore what’s next.”

CONEXPO-CON/AGG is one of the best opportunities in the world to see what the future of construction looks like and learn how to stay ahead of your competition, Young says. Come to the Volvo CE booth to check out an electric machine in person and have a chance to operate one.

You only get this chance every three years!” Young explains. It’s a great mix of exhibits to see, educational sessions to learn from, and fun experiences to share with colleagues, friends and family.”

Registration is now open for CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2026. Happening March 3-7, 2026, in Las Vegas, CONEXPO-CON/AGG is North America’s largest trade show.
