The Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) booth in the Grand Lobby of North Hall offered CONEXPO-CON/AGG and IFPE attendees a broad view of the way AEM works for the industry, including a showcase of industry innovations, live interviews and a chance to win prizes.

AEM, which owns and produces CONEXPO-CON/AGG and IFPE, provided thousands of attendees with light refreshments, show insights, and an interactive look at the Infrastructure Vision 2050.

One contractor's wife in attendance with her husband stopped at the AEM booth after taking note of the infrastructure elements of the booth. "Everybody has infrastructure problems. We live in the big city of Houston, and this is definitely an interest to us that caught our eye," she said. "It'd be neat to see one of them come true in years to come."

This year’s booth features:

Infrastructure Vision 2050

One of the highlights of the AEM booth is the display about the Infrastructure Vision 2050 Challenge. The challenge is a crowd-sourced thought leadership initiative focusing on the long-term infrastructure plan for the US, sponsored by AEM and HeroX, and which concluded with a finale event at CONEXPO awarding cash prizes to participants who designed an infrastructure plan addressing issues with highways, roads, and transportation that will revitalize and restructure U.S. infrastructure.

The five challenge finalists displayed sneak peeks of their proposals at the AEM Booth. Though UC-Berkeley students Baiyu Chen and Anthony Barrs won the grand prize, attendees and a chance to check out the submissions for themselves and vote for their favorite. One lucky participating attendee won a fast pass giveaway to the all-new Tech Experience.

I Make America

I Make America returned to the center of the AEM booth at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2017 as well. Attendees had a chance to engage with the grassroots advocacy program, which focuses on pro-manufacturing infrastructure, transportation, agriculture, and energy policies, at the AEM booth. At the booth, attendees could take photos with I Make America magnets and post pictures to social media (with the hashtag #IMAKEAMERICA) to win a prize. Many AEM members also displayed these magnets on machinery throughout the show. Attendees who also stopped by the AEM booth could earn an I Make America hat by writing down a short message to elected officials about why they support infrastructure investment.

Tech Experience

The brand-new Tech Experience at CONEXPO also added a new dimension to the show experience. The futuristic exhibit that had everyone talking about the future. Attendees can take pictures with different Tech Experience backgrounds and even take the printed photo with them! Participating attendees will receive entry to the premiere lounge, a free beverage, and the opportunity to win a fast pass to the Tech Experience.

CONEXPO-CON/AGG Radio

CONEXPO-CON/AGG Radio provides attendees with the opportunity to catch up on industry news and hear live interviews every hour from industry experts. Listen in on interviews with top industry officials and hear them weigh in on the latest trends and news.

WOA Pulling

Attendees are invited to reserve their exhibit space for World of Asphalt 2018 from Thursday, March 9 through Saturday, March 11. There will be dedicated space for exhibitors to come and select their space.

According to AEM, in the first day thousands stopped by the booth.
